About Dr. Douglas Appel
Dr. Appel is a podiatric surgeon dual board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) and American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM) . He received his undergraduate degree at Lafayette College in Easton, PA and his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Appel completed his residency training at Morristown Medical Center, Atlantic Health System in northern NJ. Dr. Appel specializes in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of foot and ankle disorders and has a particular interest in bunions, hammertoes, acute fractures of the foot and ankle, sports related injuries, foot and ankle arthritis, ankle arthroscopy, wound care, diabetic foot care, and all aspects of podiatric medicine and surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Appel also specializes in wound care and limb salvage and is on staff at the Virtua Willingboro Wound Care Center.

Dr. Appel is so compassionate he makes you feel so comfortable while he’s giving you injections or cutting your toenails. He just talks the whole time and wipes. All my worries away. I personally get injections the greatest foot doctor I’ve ever had and I’m 67. ?
