Dr. Murray completed his internship at Georgia Baptist Medical Center in 1998 and his orthopedic training at Atlanta Medical Center in 2002 where he served as chief resident. Dr. Murray completed a prestigious fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York. This fellowship focused on shoulder reconstruction including shoulder replacements and fractures as well as the arthroscopic repair of rotator cuffs and shoulder instability. Dr. Murray served as the assistant team physician for the New York Mets baseball team and was also the assistant team physician for New York University. He served as a team physician for the Gwinnett Stripers. He also provides medical coverage for the Lovett School. Dr. Murray spoke as a faculty member at the Orthopedic Learning Center in Rosemont, Illinois in 2008 and 2009 on the Arthroscopic Management of the rotator cuff. He also presented at the Georgia Shoulder and Elbow Society meeting in April 2010.
