I take time to understand what you’re dealing with, what has or hasn’t helped before, and what you want to change. Treatment may include medication management, psychotherapy, and careful discussion of patterns, stressors, and symptoms that may be getting in the way of your well-being. Clients are welcome to bring up whatever feels important, and I want the space to feel open, honest, and free of judgment. Above all, I want clients to feel heard, respected, and involved in decisions about their care. The first session is a chance for me to get to know you as a whole person, not just a list of symptoms. We’ll talk about what brings you in, what you’ve been struggling with, what has been tried before, and what you would like to see improve. I work to create an environment where you can speak openly without feeling rushed or pressured. By the end of the visit, clients can usually expect a clearer understanding of the next steps and an initial plan for treatment.
