For over 25 years, Dr. Ramsaran has been a leading interventional and clinical cardiologist. Working closely with his clinical team, Dr. Ramsaran is able to offer comprehensive treatment options as solutions for patients with cardiac health issues. These include cardiac catheterizations, stent implantations, heart failure, arrhythmias, lipid management, cardiovascular risk management, medical devices and complex coronary interventions.
Dr. Ramsaran is board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology and is a fellow of both the American College of Cardiology and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. Dr. Ramsaran is the former Director of the Cardiac Catheterization laboratories and Interventional Cardiovascular Training program at Saint Vincent Hospital. During this time, Dr. Ramsaran has won several awards including “teacher of the year award”. He completed his fellowships in Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology at Saint Vincent Hospital and completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Internship at St Mary’s Hospital. Dr. Ramsaran received his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons In Ireland. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. Ramsaran takes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, working with a full care team to develop a patient care plan that is structured to the unique needs of his patients. He also understands that changes in health can be concerning for patients and their families. Dr. Ramsaran maintains open communication with patient’s pre and post procedures. "People can be apprehensive about undergoing a heart procedure," he explains. "That's why communicating with them is so very important. I try to educate them by taking them through the entire process so there is no mystery involved and they understand what we are doing in our efforts to effectively treat their condition."
