Edelyn is an ANCC Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who received her Post-Master's Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2021. She also holds a Master's in Nursing and a Master's in Business Administration from Walden University, as well as a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Connecticut, earned in 1988. With over 32 years of nursing experience, Edelyn has worked in various areas of psychiatric nursing, including inpatient, outpatient, partial programs, and 14 years in emergency room psychiatric crisis care. For nearly six years, she has been an educator of undergraduate and accelerated nursing students in the psychiatric mental health program at the College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is an active member of several professional nursing organizations, including AANP, APNA, and ISPN.

Edelyn has been SO helpful on my medication journey; i truly feel like we are doing what's best for me and that she only has the best intentions. i would recommend her to anyone who is looking for help in this area. i always feel like she listens to me and explains everything in a way i can understand. i trust her opinions and appreciate how much better i am since my first visit here

I was hesitant at first to trust anyone at Lifestance (prior mediocre experience), but I really like Edelyn and she’s seen me at my worst and has shown me great compassion during times of deep depression and hardship, and has overcome my reluctance to trust her. I would recommend her to anyone in need of a compassionate ear.
