“When I developed a very serious brain bleed Dr. Zusman was part of the Neurosurgical team that came to my rescue. Dr. Zusman has two great strengths – her skills and her compassion. Her outstanding skills resolved this condition and her compassion allayed my family's concerns and gave us hope. I subsequently followed in Dr. Zusman's footsteps and became a physician. Out of the countless doctors that I have known and interacted with she is by far the best. Dr. Zusman is that very rare combination of kindness, empathy, assertiveness and capability that results in superior outcomes for patients and their families. My family and I are eternally grateful to her. ”

I have been a long term patient of Dr. Zusman, I cannot recommend her high enough. I am a physician that has referred several patients to Dr Zusman. Her expertise in a such a complex field, her years of experience in both treating patients and in leadership within her field, her ability to collaborate in the best interest of the patient — essentially, her humanity, make her an outstanding neurosurgeon. Every person I have sent to her has benefitted in significant ways- learning they did not need surgery and could try physical therapy longer, learning they needed surgery but a lesser version, learning they may have some other issues that had not been considered. She is prompt, responsive and has colleagues throughout the country and world that she can use for targeted referrals if you are not in her geographic location.
Dr. Zusman is simply amazing. I am so grateful to have found her before undergoing spine surgery. Prior to meeting with Dr. Z I was anxious and frightened about having spine surgery even though I knew it was necessary. Dr. Zusman took the time to explain in a clear and comforting manner the cause of my neurological symptoms, and the pros and cons of various treatment options. She helped me find the best surgeon for my specific neurological issue, and she helped me to "prehab" -- prepare physically, mentally and emotionally for my spine surgery, as well as rehab after surgery. Dr. Zusman's expertise and support helped me to develop a positive, optimistic and confident attitude toward my neurosurgery, which I believe contributed to my successful surgical outcome. Thank you Dr. Z!
Seeing Dr. Zusman was eye opening and very insightful. I am now moving in the right direction to becoming fully healthy once again!
