Dr. Isla has worked in private practice, community hospitals, and large academic medical centers, having held clinical teaching appointments at three different medicals schools. Dr. Isla received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering, magna cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University. He received his medical degree from Wright State University in Dayton, and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, where he also served as Chief Medical Resident. Dr. Isla recently earned a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Health Informatics at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
