About Dr. Edward Lin
Edward A. Lin, M.D. grew up in Flushing, Queens and attended Stuyvesant High School in New York, where he distinguished himself with a perfect 1600 SAT score. He subsequently enrolled in the 8-year combined BA/MD program at New York University, where he graduated summa cum laude with honors in biology. He completed his medical degree at NYU School of Medicine, where he received multiple awards and graduated with honors in orthopaedic surgery. Dr. Lin went on to complete his orthopaedic surgery residency at the NYU-Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York. NYU is one of the highest ranked orthopaedic residency programs in the country. He then finished his training at the renowned Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship Program at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Lin is an expert in the management of all upper extremity conditions, especially those affecting the fingers/hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. He is the author of numerous publications in the medical literature, and has written on the topics of cartilage regeneration, bone fracture healing, and nerve injury. He has given numerous lectures and presentations to other orthopaedic surgeons throughout the country.
Dr. Lin specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery, which includes the surgical and non-surgical treatment of the following conditions:

A little more waiting time in the waiting room than I would have liked, and then more time than necessary in the exam room. The doctor did not seem informed of my issue and the x-rays that were taken - a little more interest in whom they are seeing would go a long way.

I never saw Dr. Lin; I only saw his PA. Doctor was not involved in the visit at all. If junior staff is going to handle the entire consult- I should not be charged full price. This totally unacceptable.

Have been going to Dr. Liu for about 7 years. Never had a bad visit, and I have a bad gagging problem. The back staff are so patient when taking my x- rays and they always make sure to let me know I don't have to feel bad about my gagging. Thankyou all for being so wholesome!

I was so nervous because I was getting all of my 4 wisdom tooth out. Christine, the back assistant was so sweet and very comforting. She helped me calm down when I was having a panic attack and hyped me up every time they took a tooth out! Super grateful of them.

I called the office when I booked the appointment 2 weeks prior and asked specifically if the doctor dealt with my issue. The person I spoke to on the phone assured me that they did. I got to the office and they took xrays for no reason (except an insurance money grab probably) and then the doctor told me that he doesn't treat my issue.

Stop waiting and just go see him. I met with a couple other doctors beforehand, and Dr. Lin was the only one i felt comfortable with. He has a no non sense approach and will tell you straight out what needs to be done. He does not waste your time. Dr. Lin is truly amazing. Go see him!

I am experiencing one of the most difficult times with an injury to my wrist but I am SOOOO happy I found Kayal Ortho and Dr. Edward Lin. He listened, examined, and asked questions about my issues. I felt like he actually "heard" me. The staff at Kayal Ortho is THE BEST. Every single person I encountered today was nicer and more genuine than the previous one.
