About Dr. Ehizogie Edigin
Dr. Edigin is a board-certified dermatologist and rheumatologist—one of a handful of physicians in the United States with dual training in both specialties.
His unique background allows him to provide comprehensive, integrative care for patients with complex autoimmune skin and rheumatologic conditions.
Dr. Edigin earned his medical degree from the University of Benin, Nigeria, graduating with distinctions in Physiology and Pharmacology. He completed his internal medicine residency at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, a safety-net health system caring for diverse populations.
He subsequently completed a rheumatology fellowship at Loma Linda University Health and a dermatology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston/MD Anderson Cancer Center program, where he received advanced training in skin cancer management.
Dr. Edigin is also board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine and incorporates evidence-based lifestyle and integrative medicine interventions into his clinical practice. He practices dermatology and rheumatology with expertise in medical dermatology, skin of color dermatology, and conditions that overlap between rheumatology and dermatology, such as lupus, dermatomyositis, scleroderma, psoriasis, and vasculitis.
Dr. Edigin has over 160 peer-reviewed publications and abstracts. His research has been published in leading medical journals, and he has presented his work at numerous conferences.
