About Dr. Ehizogie Edigin

Dr. Edigin is a dermatologist and board-certified rheumatologist—one of a handful of physicians in the United States with dual training in both specialties. Dr. Edigin earned his medical degree from the University of Benin, Nigeria, graduating with distinctions in Physiology and Pharmacology. He completed his internal medicine residency at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, part of one of the nation’s largest safety-net health systems, caring for diverse populations. He subsequently completed a rheumatology fellowship at Loma Linda University Health and a dermatology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in collaboration with MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he received advanced training in skin cancer detection and management. Dr. Edigin is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Rheumatology, and Lifestyle Medicine. He practices dermatology and rheumatology with expertise in medical dermatology, skin of color dermatology, and conditions that overlap between rheumatology and dermatology, such as lupus, dermatomyositis, systemic sclerosis, psoriasis, vasculitis, and autoimmune blistering diseases. He incorporates evidence-based lifestyle and integrative medicine interventions into his clinical practice. Dr. Edigin has over 160 peer-reviewed publications and abstracts. His research has been published in leading medical journals, and he has presented his work at numerous national and international conferences.
