“I sent my network a referral to Dr. Carlson’s office in case they need an excellent dermatologist or backup?? I could not get my annual skin check exam appointment with my great Dr. Lester who was booked during my Bay Area visit. I was blessed to find Dr. C via Zocdoc and her practice provides end to end solutions. She and her staff is impeccable.”

I really like Dr. Carlson. She has a great way of speaking to patients, and I loved that she explained a bit of the science behind different medications. Additionally, all the staff I met were great, and the office itself is nice and in a convenient location.
The entire team is so friendly and clearly explained what they were doing / next steps in a way I could easily understand. Definitely recommend!
Great experience with Ekama Carlson! She was knowledgeable, kind, and took her time in assessing and answering all my questions. Was surprised how expensive parking was.
Patient and listening.
Great place, quite expensive.
I went in for a full body skin screening but was not given one. Then I was told by this doctor that I couldn't ask any more questions as "my appointment was over" and we were "out of time". Very unprofessional and dismissive. But short wait times and nice, clean office.
I only made the appointment after I spoke with the office about the doctor's availability to perform in-office surgery and was assured that she would have time to do it the following week. I asked to book an appointment for the consultation and for the surgery and was told there was no need to book the surgery appointment as it will be available. Waited 45 minutes to see the doctor and low and behold, she said she couldn't do the surgery because that slot was booked and the consultation was a complete waste of time because the doctor was going on vacation for three weeks. The doctor could have prescribed something or done something like inject the growth to slow its growth but nope, she did nothing and hardly spent any time with me and said she'd find someone else to do the surgery. Took almost a week to get that information and the referral that was supposed to be sent was not received. Parking garage is expensive. No masks worn. Overall disappointing.
I scheduled a last minute appointment with Dr. Carlson and had a very good experience! The wait was really short and she addressed all of my concerns. I’d definitely come back and would recommend her office.
Doctor Carlson is so great!! She is very patient and can also make points very clear. Better than my previous dermatologist. Definitely recommend.

I waited over an hour to see the doctor, and then she only had time to look for moles, but prescribed me several topical creams and tried to sell me some of her own products.
Dr. Carlson is compassionate, caring and a great communicator. From first contact through my procedure, she has been clear about what needed to be done, how things would work, and what to expect. A++

Loved my appointment with Dr. Carlson; she was very friendly, professional and thorough. The office was very clean and the staff also friendly and efficient. Definitely going back and will recommend Dr. Carlson to friends and family.
Verified patient
Dr. Ekama was absolutely wonderful, she explained to me my condition in a way I understood and broke down why I needed each medication as well as what it was targeting. She was simply amazing, very professional and well spoken. I was glad to have her as my doctor.
Verified patient
The office is beautiful, staff and doctor were great. I had to wait almost 25 minutes to see the doc while I waited in the patient room, but I wasn’t in a hurry so didn’t mind too much. I loved how approachable and friendly the doc was.
Verified patient
Amazing bedside manner. Highly recommend!
I appreciate all the time she gave explaining certain medications and dermatology pathologies for my visit. She collaborated with me on the care that was best. The office has a lot of services they provide.
Verified patient
I really liked Dr Carlson. She was very thorough, friendly and listened to everything I had to say. She was quick and her office staff members were great. Parking in the garage below was very easy and definitely one of the most accessible medical offices in the city. I will be coming back again to see her.
Verified patient
Very friendly doctor and nurse, elaborate explanations, swift service and took enough time. Very modern and clean doctors office. The only thing that wasn't great, was that the questions at the check in for new patients and their answer options weren't always clear and receptionist was pretty disengaged and not very knowledgeable about this.
Wonderful doctor!
Verified patient
Ekama seemed I rushed and gave me her full attention. She was very professional, but also empathetic. I look forward to seeing her again.
Verified patient
Very competent and helpful doctor, friendly practice members and very nice office. Easy parking nearby and literally 1 minute wait until the doctor saw me after I arrived. Could not have had a better experience.
Verified patient
Finally a great dermatologist! Not only was Dr. Carlson kind, but knowledgeable and fully explained everything so well. Had such a great experience overall and really appreciated how she took the time to make me feel at ease and communicate clearly fully while listening to all of my concerns. Love how passionate and excited she was about dermatology in my appointment. I also appreciated that the office was not pushing cosmetic dermatology treatments at you in every place you looked or making those suggestions. Will definitely be returning and recommending this practice to friends without hesitation. 10/10!
Great experience!
