This is a Physician-led practice with over 15 years of experience treating adults and young adults struggling with mental health conditions. Dr. Kennedy is a Board-certified medical doctor, who completed medical school and psychiatry residency training - the highest level of medical expertise in mental health. Dr. Kennedy is trained and experienced in performing psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis and treatment, for conditions such as anxiety and depression, trauma-related symptoms; evaluations and diagnosis of psychotic episodes, as well as medication management, assessment of side effects and medication interactions, as well as deprescribing with close monitoring, when appropriate.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Most patients receive a clear diagnosis and personalized treatment plan at the first visit. Initially, you will meet with the doctor for a comprehensive assessment to review your concerns, symptoms and life circumstances, determine next steps along with you, and customized treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, and practical strategies to improve overall well-being.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
You will meet with the psychiatrist from home, on your schedule, via a secure link to join the videoconference (telemedicine). Please check your spam/junk email if you don't see the intake and billing package. Email us if you need to reschedule or cannot find a time that suits your schedule, pending availability. For the videoconference call, it is encouraged to be in a well-lit area, as well as in a private place, as sensitive topics may be discussed.
