Getting to know Dr. Elina Kugel

Dr. Elina Kugel, Psy.D is a licensed clinical psychologist and the co-founder of Curect Neuropsychology.
Dr. Kugel specializes in neuropsychological evaluation of children and adults presenting with a wide range of brain disorders, including ADHD, Learning Disorders, Epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease/dementia, stroke and traumatic brain injury/concussions, among other diagnoses. She tailors each evaluation to address the specific concerns and needs of each client. At the conclusion of testing, Dr. Kugel provides clients with a comprehensive written report detailing cognitive, emotional and/or academic functioning. Each client also receives an extensive list of practical and concrete recommendations to help them and their family focus on strengths in order to overcome their specific set of challenges.
Dr. Kugel received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology from the University of Hartford. Dr. Kugel received extensive clinical training including the Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical College-New York Presbyterian Hospital. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Icahn School of Medicine-Mount Sinai Hospital and postdoctoral fellowship at the JFK-Johnson Rehabilitation Institute. Dr. Kugel’s research interests include traumatic brain injury and neurodegenerative diseases.

I'm not sure if this is a Zocdoc issue or the doctor's front desk issue, but every appointment gets canceled 1 hour prior to visit. Im GenX, I'll just scroll through the yellow pages to find reliable help.

Extremely poor. I gave those 5 stars just to get to the next screen and to be fair to the doctor. However, on the question of recoomendation, I answered never because someone from the office called me and essentially pre-emptively cancelled the appointment.

This was strange: there was no message with the link to video call from the doctor (as was promised in the automatic messages), so I had to call the office. They said it was to be only an intake appointment (no idea how and when it was supposed to happen), and the closest appointment date available was in fact in November. I also couldn’t hear the support lady on the phone very well — the sound quality was low. Based on other reviews here, Dr. Elina Kugel is nice and professional, but I’m really confused by her office’s scheduling procedure ???????
