About Dr. Elise Carman
The office of Dr. Elise Carman is dedicated to providing the finest medical care for women with professionalism and kindness. We employ the latest medical techniques, follow evidence-based medicine, and include your wishes to help you be your healthiest. Dr. Carman earned her Doctor of Medicine from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and has admitting privileges at both St. Barnabas in Livingston and Mountainside Hospital in Montclair. Both the doctor and her staff will listen to your needs and work with you to find appropriate times for office visits that accommodate your busy schedule.
Unfortunately, I cannot see any patients who have Medicaid insurance as there primary or secondary insurance because I am not in network with any of the medicaids including NJHorizon health, Amerigroup and united healthcare community plan.

Dr Carmen was as pleasant as a gynecologist could be w a total stranger that has 7-10min to spend with a stranger patient. The staff was awesomely pleasant. My only one complaint which to me is a HUGE DEAL , is beige fabric covered chairs in the waiting area that were more the color of the grey smoke of a wild fire.The chair arm I wiped down made my Lysol wipes the same color of the chairs??Fabric covered chairs that can’t be wiped down everyday are a bio hazard waiting to happen in a drs office, any drs office,there isn’t enough Lysol to disinfect nasty fabric chairs. 1 chair had a stain that looked like the couch at private rm where they give lap dances & then they turn the lights up. I’m a a tiny bit of a germa phobe, the pandemic magnified that quite a bit. Just maybe I’ve overreacted about the cleanliness of the waiting rm. MAYBE ??

She is warm, friendly, and present; signs of not only a true professional, but of a quality human being. Her staff is just as warm, friendly, present and professional as she; a true pleasure. The receptionist was very pleasant and nice professional. However I waited in the examining room for at least 15-17 minutes and when I complained the response from the Dr. was”Oh”. No apologies until I stated there was no apology. After discussing this with the doctor and going over possible things that they could have done she was very understanding and pleasant.
