Elise Gallie is a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and holds a Master's in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University. While a master's student at EKU, Elise earned the honor of being inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and graduated with magna cum laude distinction. Before pursuing her career as a nurse practitioner, she spent seven years working in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings as a floor nurse and nurse manager. She has served adults, adolescents, and children with varying psychiatric illnesses across many state lines. Elise has lived in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Missouri, and Virginia, and throughout her moves, she has remained passionate about working in the mental health field.
Elise understands that there is no broad-spectrum approach to treatment and works diligently to meet the unique needs of her clients to ensure a safe, holistic, and healing experience. She recognizes the anxiety that may occur during first-time visits and hopes that her open-mindedness, active listening, and willingness to meet the needs of her patients will put your mind at ease. Elise is experienced in caring for Anxiety, Panic, Major Depression, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, and ADHD. She is happy to finally call Virginia “home” and lives here with her husband and Australian cattle dog, Lincoln. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, visiting old friends, being a plant mom, and spending time at the shore.

I have been with Lifestance going on 2 years. Dr. Elise Gallie and the staff in Chesapeake go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. The staff and the doctors listen to you here. I have never felt pushed into feeling like I should go one way. I am always given options and always have a say so in my care. That’s what matters to me! This is the best I have felt in my life in almost 10 years.

Easy to schedule an appointment online. Had a little issues with intake. Elise apologized for that and got everything worked out. Elise is very kind and professional. I really enjoyed speaking with her today.
