Psychiatrist
CO
I am Dr. Elishia Oliva, MD. Thanks for taking a moment to read a little bit about me. I am a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist and Medical Doctor as well as a Colorado Native who has been in practice since the completion of my medical school training, internship, and psychiatry residency at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. In addition to being a physician and psychiatrist, I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I specialize in psychiatric diagnosis and medication management for adults. Throughout my career in psychiatry, I have received prior recognitions as a Colorado Permanente Medical Group Top 100 Physician as well as being a 5280 Top Doc in Psychiatry. I treat all ages 18 years and older and am comfortable treating, assessing, and diagnosing a full range of various mental health conditions. These include, but are not limited to: depression, anxiety disorders, trauma disorders, personality disorders, mood disorders, attention concerns, eating disorders, and assessment of sleep concerns. However, please note that as of January 1, 2025, I will only be taking ADHD patients with an existing diagnosis and already on medications. For any new ADHD diagnosis requests with medication management, I will be requiring formal neuropsychiatric testing demonstrating an adult ADHD diagnosis and at that point, once confirmed through neuropsychiatric testing, I am happy to mange medications for ADHD. You can usually check with your insurance company for your testing options. This new protocol will not affect any of my existing patients. If it is determined that I am unable to meet your treatment needs, I will work with you to find resources that can. I believe in practicing safe and evidence-based medicine and will work with you in a collaborative manner to determine the best treatment course for you. You are truly the expert in your experiences, history, and symptoms.
