“Elita is an amazing provider with incredible bedside. She is patient and really takes the time to hear your story and situation. I felt seen and advocated for in a way that was very foreign to me. She is incredibly trauma informed and I feel safe to speak my truth without fear of judgement or lack of understanding. She made sure that I was informed and comfortable with the treatment plan and that I feel empowered to speak on my needs should I feel the need to pivot or adjust things. She’s thorough and ordered bloodwork that I’d normally have to fight for and really covered the bases to ensure that we’re approaching my issues from multiple angles in a very holistic way. I was nervous about incorporating medication and now nearly a week into treatment, I’m so thankful I reached out and got the help I needed.”

Getting to know Elita Wong
Elita Wong, NP uses a holistic approach to mental health and creates a personalized plan of care. Her practice model combines psychotherapy and medication management to help patients achieve more joy and fulfillment in their lives.
She has worked with diverse populations in both community mental health clinics and the private practice setting. Her treatment modalities include a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, meaning-centered psychotherapy, mindfulness, and psychopharmacology to help patients achieve their goals. To integrate the latest research and technology, she also offers genetic testing to help select the most effective medications and design a more individualized plan. She works primarily with adult patients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, insomnia, stress management, and major life changes.
Elita completed her undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley and received her nursing training at New York University. Afterwards, she spent several years working as an inpatient nurse at Columbia University Medical Center in the pediatric, hematology, and oncology specialties, and has in addition cared for children with complex medical needs in their homes. She received her training in psychiatry from Hunter-Bellevue College in New York City and served as an adjunct clinical instructor at NYU. Currently, she is receiving training from the Integrative Psychiatry Institute, where she is studying alternative methods of healing.
