When appropriate, Dr. Deckler incorporates evidence-based psychotherapy techniques into medication management visits, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) strategies for ADHD. Follow-up appointments focus on monitoring progress, assessing medication effectiveness and side effects when applicable, making thoughtful treatment adjustments, and developing practical skills to help patients achieve their goals. Dr. Deckler's approach emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based care in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where patients are informed, empowered, and actively involved in treatment decisions.
