About Dr. Elvis Francois
Dr. Elvis Francois is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon specializing in the diagnosis and surgical management of complex spinal disorders. He completed his spine surgery fellowship at Harvard Medical School’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, following his orthopedic surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic. He holds a medical degree from Meharry Medical College and a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and Biology from Oberlin College.
Dr. Francois brings years of clinical expertise to Big Apple Spine, having previously served as a spine surgeon at Resurgens Orthopaedics and Tulsa Bone and Joint. His clinical interests include minimally invasive spine surgery, cervical and lumbar disc disease, spinal deformity, and motion-preserving techniques.
In addition to his surgical practice, Dr. Francois has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in the field of spine surgery and musculoskeletal research. He has presented at national orthopedic meetings and remains active in academic research and mentorship, particularly focused on increasing diversity in medicine.

I can’t explain how comfortable and cared for I felt with Dr. Francois and the other doctors and staff. This was a pretty serious surgery and I had no fears.
The front desk staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The office is beautiful and modern. It’s located in the middle of almost every train.
This was something that had to be done and I wanted it done with no insecurities. Not glad I had to do it but glad it was done by them.
