I focus on engaging patients to understand their feelings, beliefs, and motives toward their health. I prefer a less formal, conversational approach that puts patients at ease and allows them to truly partner with me on their care. I'm passionate about infectious diseases, HIV medicine, and integrative HIV prevention. To keep healthy, I eat nutritious foods, exercise regularly, and walk. When I'm not working, I enjoy exploring the city with my partner, cooking and baking, trying new restaurants, being entertained by my two rescue cats, painting with watercolors, and reading. I hope to get more involved in the LGBT community with a focus on aging. I earned my medical degree as well as a master's degree in public health from the University of Pittsburgh. I completed my residency and an infectious disease fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
