Dr. Fowler was fast and efficient and seemed to know what she was talking about. My last dermatologist at a different practice was a nurse practitioner and spent more time logging in and inspecting each of my moles and even biopsied one, which didn’t happen with Dr. Fowler.
But it’s possible that Dr. Fowler, being an MD, just is more confident about which moles are problematic and which aren’t. I’ll see how my next appointment next year goes.
I liked that she reminded me to use sunscreen every day.
Very minor additional thing: My last dermatologist’s office gave free little product samples with each visit, which was so nice. That’s extra, though, so I can’t possibly expect it with every practice (this one didn’t do it), but it sure was sweet.
Overall would recommend Dr. Fowler and Schweiger Dermatology.

I came in for my yearly checkup/skin check, and Dr. Fowler looked at my skin for max 2 minutes, and then had her hand on the doorknob, ready to leave before I could ask any of my other derm questions. She stayed to answer my quick questions but was not friendly or patient - she made it clear she was in a rush to leave. Otherwise, the staff at the office was nice, and I waited for about 20 minutes.

Professional, but very rushed. When a biopsy site was discovered. I was told I could see the site before the biopsy took place. That did not happen.
This was a new practice to me and a new doctor. Everyone was pleasant, but everything was very fast. Even the time between an injection to numb pain and the biopsy removal was very fast. I never shouted in a dermatologist office before today.
Almost impossible to reach by phone. Info on the phone line suggested a text, but I couldn't make that happen.
If you call their general number, the robot does not know there is an office on E. 87th St. it just keeps repeating sites that are in Midtown!
I attempted to call after the appointment to ask a question and there was no way to access anyone in a timely manner. Finally went to Google to get the answer I needed.
Everyone was very polite and friendly once I was there, but otherwise it is technologically overloaded.
