Emily Epstein, APRN, RN

Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatry)
NM
I help people who want to move beyond symptom relief and toward optimal well-being-those who aren't certain whether medication is right for them but know they could be feeling better than they currently do. I strive to meet my clients where they are and build a treatment plan that aligns with their needs, wishes, and values. I integrate traditional psychiatry and supportive psychotherapy with supplements, mind-body therapies, lifestyle, and nutrition coaching. My approach is compassionate, participatory, and person-centered. I work with my clients to provide relief from their symptoms while identifying and addressing root cause factors. I believe that feeling aligned and empowered is essential on the path to mental wellness. We are much more likely to benefit from treatment in which we feel personally invested. My role is to equip clients with the information they need to make informed, personalized decisions about their care. Medications are not the be-all and end-all in my approach; I see medication not as a destination but as one tool among many to help my clients gain traction on their journey to optimal mental wellness. I hold a Master's in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine and completed my Psychiatry residency at Brockton VA Medical Center, which informs my integrated and holistic approach to mental health care.
