Dr. E. Michael Weiss is Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at UMDNJ, Newark, N.J.
Dr. Weiss graduated from Universitatea de Medicina si Farmacie Iuliu Hatieganu Facultatea de Medicina. He completed his Internship in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, followed by Residency in Internal Medicine and a Fellowship in Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Technology at Hackensack University Medical Center.
He is one of the first physician innovators in the Tri-state area in stress echocardiography and preventive cardiovascular medicine, also training young cardiologists in these areas. Dr. Weiss directed and supervised the implementation of a Cardiac Catheterization Program at a major community hospital as Administrative Clinical Director of Cardiac Services.
Bringing 25 years of experience in cardiology and cardiovascular medicine to the NY-NJ Tri-State Metropolitan area, he focuses on preventive cardiology and treatment reviews to avoid unnecessary and potentially harmful therapies. Dr. Weiss was designated by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services as a Civil Surgeon to perform immigration exams.

The wait was long but when I sat down and talked to Dr. Weiss I saw why. He's thorough and actually listens. I was there for a quick consultation after I was referred by another Dr. I didn't feel rushed during the appointment and Dr. Weiss made sure the staff was aware I needed the appointment notes sent to two other Dr's. The office even followed up with my the next day to let me know they faxed everything out! Would definitely recommend this office. You'll wait but it'll be worth it.

Waited over 2 hours and had to come 5 times just to get medical clearance which took 8 weeks. Tech was very sweet and administered the tests well. Time with doctor is rushed and short.

Dr. Weiss has one of the best bed side manners I’ve ever encountered while at a doctors visit. He was extremely knowledgeable and helped me understand my situation in a way that kept my anxiety as low as possible. He is a very good doctor.

Ver rushed wit the doctor. No cardiogram. I have NEVER been to a cardiologists office where they didn't do a cardiogram especially when the patient complains of a hollow feeling and chest cramps like I did. They said only one procedure per visitation and I had nothing else done except a stethoscope to listen to my heart. Is this to drive up revenue with office visits? Ridiculous. He got up in what I Thought was the beginning of his exam, asked me to take my coat ( I thought to another room) and it was over!

My first appointment they changed the time of my appointment without me knowing. When I was parking my car they called me to ask me if I was coming to my appointment I said yes I have 15 more min to get to the office then the rude lady on the other line said no your appointment is for right now but anyway see you soon then hung up the phone. Then when I was waiting in the waiting room and it was my turn to go to the back they didn't even call my name just open the door and said "you ready?" I should have just left and found another office but I had already wasted my time going there and waiting to be called. So I just sucked it up and went in. The Dr was good he had manners, he was respectful and he was knowledgeable. I've had 3 more appointments here since then and every single time I show up to my appointment I get called in 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes later than my appointment time. I even started to show up earlier and earlier to my appointment to see if maybe I show up a little earlier I'll get called in on time but no I still end up waiting there long past an hour after my appointment time. It's frustrating. If you don't mind waiting 1 to 2 hours to be seen after your appointment time then I recommend booking here. otherwise steer clear of this office.

Check-in was a breeze, staff are highly competent and professional, and give clear instructions. After filling out the required forms as a new patient I was immediately ushered to a room where a staff prepared me for the doctor's examination. Actual contact with the doctor was a delightful experience, other than providing expert advice, he was attentively listening to my side of the issue. Highly recommended and will definitely go back.

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. An intern did my EKG which was probably a good thing; she took her time and was considerate. Sometimes experienced = jaded. The doctor was great. He asked plenty of questions to get to the root of the issue and was personable - not dismissive or condescending at all. I’ll definitely be back!
