My clinical work is grounded in science—and shaped by over a decade of experience in global human rights and trauma advocacy.
In addition to practicing psychiatry, I lead human rights investigations into mental health institutions around the world, working to promote best practices and restore dignity to people failed by the systems meant to protect them. I bring that same empathy, commitment to justice and healing focus into my psychiatric practice.

You will receive an email from the secure "Eric Mathews MD Client Portal," with required intake documents and credit card authorization (you will not be charged until appt is completed).

I help adults facing challenges like anxiety, depression, difficulty focusing, or changes in emotional or mental clarity. We'll start with thoughtful evaluation and work together to tailor a treatment plan that fits your life.
