Dr. Eric Osgood, MD, is board certified in general internal medicine, and has been in practice for ten years. He completed his undergraduate education at Georgetown University, received his medical doctorate from Tufts University School of Medicine, and completed his internal medicine residency at Seton Hall University, St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton, NJ, where he also served as a chief resident. Between his residency and his time in practice, Dr. Osgood spent nearly a decade serving the Greater Trenton/Mercer community. He returned to St. Francis in 2016 where he became the medical director of hospitalist medicine and associate faculty of the internal medicine residency, until the day it closed its doors. Since then, Dr. Osgood has continued his academic hospital medicine career at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, NJ. During his time in academic hospital medicine, Dr. Osgood has won numerous awards and special recognitions including “Best Teaching Attending” and “Best Resident Educator” for his dedication to graduate medical education. His particular areas of interest include providing high quality preventative care, effective and evidence-based pain management, as well as recovery treatment including medication assisted therapy for substance use disorder. He spent several years in research in the field of pain,analgesics, and opioid risk mitigation, and has multiple publications in this field. He is currently Associate Program Director of Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Internal Medicine Residency.
