What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and focused on your individual needs. I believe that building a trusting relationship is essential to making meaningful progress, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable being yourself. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, ADHD, or relationship challenges, I work with you to identify your strengths, understand patterns contributing to your concerns, and develop practical strategies for change. I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed therapy to help you manage difficult emotions, improve communication, strengthen relationships, and build resilience. My goal is to help you feel supported while empowering you to make positive changes in your everyday life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. I'll ask about your current concerns, personal and mental health history, relationships, and what you hope to accomplish through therapy. We'll explore any challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, ADHD, or other concerns that may be affecting your daily life. Together, we'll identify treatment goals and develop an individualized plan that reflects your needs and priorities. As therapy progresses, I incorporate approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and trauma-focused interventions to help you develop coping skills, regulate emotions, manage stress, and address unhelpful thought and behavior patterns. Throughout our work, we'll regularly review your progress and adjust treatment strategies to ensure therapy remains meaningful, effective, and aligned with your goals.
