About Dr. Erik Lowman
Dr. Lowman graduated with a degree in English Literature before earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Florida Health Science Center, Jacksonville Campus, where he served as Chief Resident, was awarded the Dean's Research Award, and recognized as the Outstanding Senior Resident. He then completed his Infectious Disease Fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Lowman practiced in Northwest Chicago for eight years at a busy practice, developing expertise in treating complex infections such as prosthetic device infections, transplant medicine, and infections in international travelers. During this time, he was recognized for Top Performance in Achieving Exceptional Clinical Integration Outcomes.
In 2016, he returned to Miami and joined one of the largest HIV clinics in the country, where he practiced for three years-until the COVID pandemic hit. At that point, he dedicated himself to managing the pandemic by treating hospitalized patients, advising hospitals, and making reports to the CDC.
With Lowman Med, he hopes to bring all his experiences and expertise into an outpatient clinic, providing competent, compassionate care.

Dr. Lowman is truly a gem! Judgement free and highly knowledgeable, he is solution focused and takes his time to answer all of your questions and makes things easy to understand. Great bedside manner and the office very clean and smells great! Certain diseases like herpes are hard to handle mentally and this is a safe space to get more information and treatment. My prescription was sent right away as well!

I’m just feeling more and more like this is an assembly line approach to healthcare. I have asked twice now for a certain prescription and still it has not been prescribed. I have to make an appointment to review my lab results when a quick reply from the doctors assistant would suffice. Questions to the assistant go unanswered. Just makes for a frustrating experience.
