Dr. Zachwieja graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio summa cum laude with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He then received his medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Zachwieja completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Miami after being named Chief Resident and then pursued one-year of advanced Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction at the world-renowned Rothman Orthopedic Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
