About Dr. Erin Mandato
Erin Mandato, MD is an obstetrics and gynecology physician at Mesbah OB/GYN in Garden City, New York. Dr. Mandato has a passion for obstetrics and spending time getting to know her patients throughout their pregnancy. Dr. Mandato earned her bachelor’s degree and Doctor of Medicine at the University at Buffalo, New York. She continued her medical training in Buffalo, where she completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency. During residency, she invested her time to become certified in minimally invasive robotic surgery. Dr. Mandato is excited to be home on Long Island, to continue providing compassionate and high quality care to all patients. Dedicated to medical education, Dr. Mandato shares her knowledge with residents and medical students as an adjunct assistant professor for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU Long Island School of Medicine in Mineola, New York.

Dr. Mandato was nice, but I did not feel like she properly addressed my concerns of nearly constant abdominal and pelvic pain. It felt like she just assumed I had endometriosis and tried to push treatment on me almost immediately without thorough testing. One of those treatments being a pill that mimics the symptoms of menopause— I’m TWENTY TWO! And I told her I didn’t want hormonal treatment. She never asked about sexual partners or history, wanted to do STD testing, or did bloodwork — all things that my prior OBGYN did every visit, especially when I mentioned pain, even if it was just to confirm they weren’t the problem. I left the office just as lost as I went in.

My visit with Dr. Mandato was great! She is very kind, listened to my concerns, and gave intelligent input. Exam was easy and quick. Super friendly staff too!

My only complaint was the wait time, especially as I had an early morning appointment. Everyone was really lovely in the office, though, and the appointment itself was very thorough and efficient once I was seen.
