I was not impressed. I felt like I was imposing on her the entire time I was there. Like I was unwelcome. It was odd.
Great no fuss consultation. Did not discriminate due to my conditions like some Psychstrist do. Thank you Doc.

The experience was not clear and I would not recommend this to a friend

Rather obnoxious doctor. I felt like I was keeping her from something.
The doctor did not show up. I went in advance as recomended, and I stayed 40 minutes in front of a closed door expecting she would be late. No secretariat, no information, and the doctor or her office assistant did not even call me to apalogies. The place is far from the city also. Unacceptable when the appointment is taken online through a dedicated system with various controls.
I was not happy with my appointment. Asked to send her fee through Zelle. She was not able to give me any advise or anything in first session and said I need more visits. When first session is not worth of our time why would I make a second appointment.

Dr didn't enter the appointment and called me back to schedule with her directly and not through th app, she said she doesnt work with insurance. So what is offered on Zocdoc ain't what the physician is willing to provide. It would be great the real terms and conditions would appear before scheduling.

Either holding you up for medication or documentation, she will say anything to make sure to make sure you buy more sessions. Not recommended.

Much too expensive. Not a good listener or communicator. Does not listen to what I ask for or need. Can't keep track of who I am or why we're meeting.

She doesn’t take insurance but will help you with reimbursement. there is an upfront cost for the consultation so be aware of that!

I recently moved back into the DC area and as a result was going in blind to trying to find a psychiatrist. I used ZocDoc and luckily the first person from their menu of doctors was a great doctor. They had a good bedside manner and genuinely cared about their patients. I would come back to the same doctor and use ZocDOC in DC again.

Good conversationalist
She asked the write questions, listened intently, and I felt that she really got who I was after talking to me for 45 minutes.
Dr. Scarcella was amazing. She was very empathetic and was able to diagnose me on my first visit. I will continue to see her.
Where do I begin, I went in looking to see if ADHD medication might be something I should try again. Only to have her call and reschedule on me 3X, try and psychoanalyze my personal life, there were several really long uncomfortable pauses where she would just stare at me, I could barely understand her with her accent, and then to top it all off she tried to sell me another 8 sessions with her to see if ADHD medication would be a possibility. No Thank You.
Fantastic. I have finally found the right doctor!
Dr Scarcella is a GREAT Psychiatrist. I went to go see her, she had a great balance of being an AMAZING listener, asking thought provoking questions, and shared a sincere empathy with me. I sincerely think she is a TERRIFIC Psychiatrist. Since she is so good, she wants to take a few days from initial appointment to study the case to diagnose me, and to talk to my previous psychiatrist who i left on bad terms. Also i felt offended she didn't believe what i was saying.....i know myself better than anyone! I really think she is smart enough, that she did not need to speak to my old DR, with her brilliant insight, and my experience I felt like she knew enough to know what i was suffering. Again I think she wanted to be sure, and asked me to come 3 days later, but I REALLY needed my psych medicine, and she would not prescribe anything. I know she wanted to study the case, but can a psychiatrist expect a working class patient to come twice a week financially as well as the time commitment?
