Eugene Furnace, NP

Family Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
CO
Hi there, I'm Eugene! I am a doctorally prepared, dual board-certified nurse practitioner (FNP-BC and PMHNP-BC) who specializes in men's health. I work with adult men who prefer a whole-person approach that integrates biological, psychological, and theological understandings in every assessment, plan, goal, and conversation. My focus As a guy, I understand the challenges and stigmas of men getting help. I promise you, we are better by working through our issues instead of working around them. That can mean having difficult conversations, trying new things, or enjoying a good laugh. Our work together offers space for all of it because we need you healed and whole. My approach I provide personalized and focused men's health with an emphasis on optimizing medication and talking through your challenges and the changes you want to make. Every plan includes the Four Core prescriptions: 1) medicine, 2) exercise, 3) nutrition, and 4) spiritual discipline. The entire process is about you and moving you forward. My communication style I am direct in communication. I believe you can make better decisions if you have clear, evidence-based, and personalized information. I also enjoy a good laugh to break up the seriousness that faces our challenges sometimes brings. My journey to mental healthcare I come from rural America where access to care was limited. As a guy, I also experienced situations where it was shameful or looked down on to receive help. My passion is to improve access while normalizing men supporting other men in life, just like the Bible tells us to do. My goals for you As a solution-focused provider, we set actionable goals, develop a strategy to achieve your goals, and measure progress towards your goals. My role is to support your independence and autonomy with quality information and encouragement. You are always the decision-maker.
