About Dr. Evan Gary Breth
Dr. Breth started Progressive Podiatry in January 2009 after practicing with a multidisciplinary medical group since completing his residency in 2000. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, completed his residency in Podiatric Medicine and Orthopedics at New York Methodist Hospital, and pursued podiatric surgery training at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Breth works closely with his patients to help them understand their conditions, which leads to positive outcomes. Friendly, accessible, understanding, and personable, with a great sense of humor and warm bedside manner, he treats his patients like family. He believes in being honest and upfront about what is going on and is always available to answer questions or concerns. He takes the time to explain medical conditions and suggested treatment options in “plain English” so patients can make the best-informed decisions.
With an abiding interest in new and innovative techniques, Dr. Breth stays abreast of the latest medical developments and findings. Our Park Slope facility features a state-of-the-art digital X-ray system, high-performance ultrasound, and vascular testing for patient convenience.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Breth studied Hung Ga Kung Fu from 2003 to 2013 and has trained in Phoenix Martial Arts since 2016, with a particular interest in Silat. He is an avid skier and tennis enthusiast who also enjoys basketball, soccer, and spending time outdoors. In addition to camping, canoeing, kayaking, and rafting, he has been known to go skydiving and hang-gliding. Other hobbies include learning about economic and political influences and global finances. He loves spending time with his wife, daughter, and son.
