About Dr. Famatta Ajavon
Famatta Ajavon, AGNP-C, is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals in Rockville, MD. She focuses on preventive health, early disease detection, and empowering patients to take an active role in managing their well-being.
Famatta earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Towson University and began her career in a neuroscience critical care unit, where she honed her skills in managing complex health conditions. Her professional experience also includes forensic nursing and trauma care, providing her with a comprehensive approach to patient care. She later pursued her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Notre Dame of Maryland University: School of Nursing, driven by her passion for helping patients prevent and manage chronic conditions effectively.
An active member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland (NPAM), and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), Famatta is committed to advancing health equity and addressing healthcare disparities, particularly for marginalized populations.
Outside her clinical practice, Famatta enjoys traveling, sporting events, exploring diverse cuisines, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

I waited for 2 hours just to be seen because they forgot about me. When i finally got into a room, i had to wait another 30 min. I didn’t see the provider i booked and the doctor that did see me only spoke to me for 5 min.

The office staff was amazingly helpful and accommodating! NP Famatta was so helpful and proactive in my wellbeing. The office was even willing to bump my appointment time up last minute. I would recommend them to anyone!
