About Fan Yang

Fan Yang, MAOM, Lic. Ac, is a licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist in Massachusetts, who earned her Master's Degree in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine from the renowned New England School of Acupuncture, the nation's oldest school of Oriental Medicine. She is Nationally Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Prior to this, Fan graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic of Singapore with a Diploma in Nursing, and had been practicing as a nurse for years. Grown up in a traditional Chinese family with her father as an acupuncturist and herbalist, Fan routinely saw changes that her western medical training could not explain. She decided to further explore Traditional Chinese Medicine: The oldest body of knowledge that recognizes energy in the human body and its relationship to health. She found that acupuncture and herbal medicine is extremely effective in facilitating body’s self regulating power to heal and thus to achieve optimal health. She’s experienced in working with individuals with a wide variety of acute and chronic medical problems such as pain, fibromyalgia, headache, arthritis, autoimmune diseases, IBS, anxiety/depression, insomnia, OB-GYN and infertility. Fan combines acupuncture, herbs with other classic techniques (such as Cupping, Gua Sha, Moxibustion, Electroacupuncture, blood letting, Tuina etc) to treat patients, and she likes to use an integrative approach when working with each individual to relieve pain, expedite recovery and optimize overall health and well-being.
