I felt rushed through the process. She did not ask if I had any concerns- I had to force them into the conversation before she rushed out. And when I did I felt she was dismissive.
I am not sure if there was a miscommunication but I felt very uncomfortable here. Dr. Khan got weird during my breast exam when I disclosed my same sex relationship. I told her I was in pain and it felt like she shrugged it off. Also, I went back for a PAP and was repeatedly told I was in for an STD test. Even at the waiting area / reception desk this was repeated. Despite the fact I had made it perfectly clear I didn't want one. However, the physicians assistant was very compassionate and listened. She's a gem.
Dr. Khan always is great about talking to me like I'm a person and learns what is going on in my life that helps her to come up with appropriate treatments. Nicole and Jessica are always great to work with.
Her staff are always helpful and I was encouraged to continue to participate in healthy habits to alleviate the issue I made the appointment for.
Dr. Khan makes me feel good about going to the doctor. She's always straightforward and very personable. She makes you feel as though she really cares about your health. She's quick with her appointments, but not in a way that makes you feel rushed at all. I highly recommend her!
I have been visiting Dr Farah from Feb 2016, She is an awesome doctor with good technical knowledge and a lot of Compassion towards all her patients. I love the way she encourages and makes u feel better. She has helped me control by Diabetes A1C. I have myself personally referred her to lot of my friends and all love her. She is the Best !! Highly recommend her.
So happy with my new doctor! So efficient and compassionate!
Very professional and friendly, came in before before work and was out in no time.
I was in and out within 30 minutes of my appointment time. The physician's assistant was very friendly and the wait in the room to see Dr. Khan was not long. She was great and gave me several prescriptions to hopefully get me back to normal ASAP!
Dr Khan is a great doctor...she spends time with me to discuss not just what's going on with my body but also with my life and not in a "just the facts" manner. She listens and acts appropriately. I am very glad that I found her...I've been seeing her for over three years.
Dr. Khan is very professional, easy to talk to, and gives straightforward advice and answers.
Although I was her first patient of the day and she was over 30 minutes late to see me I felt that she made up for it with her bedside manners. She was very intuitive, caring, soft mannered and I felt like she genuinely cared which I have not seen in a doctor in years and definitely compensates for her tardiness.
I waited 45 minutes which I understood given its the end of the year. However I felt very rushed with the doctor and didn't feel she addressed my concerns very well and spent 5 minutes me before diagnosing me and sending me on my way even though I had more questions to ask. It was disappointing because my first experience was much better.
Farah was great. as usual. And no long wait.
I saw Dr. Khan a couple of times last year. Overall, I decided to try to find another provider after Dr. Khan discouraged me from continuing chiropractic care for my chronic back pain - it had really been helping me over the last year and a half, but I needed a referral from her. After making me wait an hour for my appointment and then go through a couple of nurses ( I think they thought I was there for another annual physical even though I had just had one a month or so prior), I explained that all I needed was a referral for chiropractic. I originally had just sent an email to request the referral but was told I had to come in for a new referral. Dr. Khan said she's not the biggest fan of chiropractic, and she didn't want to give me the referral. We eventually worked it out, but it delayed my chiropractic treatment for a couple of months which really set me back. Did not appreciate the closed-minded bedside manner at all, and overall wanted to find a provider who would consider my preferences and respect my perspective and needs while providing quality care.
The office is very clean. Staff were friendly and accommodating; however, it did take a while for them to check me in. Dr. Khan was friendly and courteous. She also explained what was happening to me and my body during my time of illness.
Dr Khan and her staff were friendly, efficient and I had a good experience.
Dr. Khan, the nurse practitioners as well as front desk staff were all very kind and thorough.
She was nice and informative.
She was friendly and professional, i just went in for a physical exam
Want to spend a random amount of money to come see a doctor's assistant for 15 mins and the actual doctor for 3 mins? I learnt nothing new, she said nothing important and now I am convinced that the yelp reviews about her were accurate. Never again, this was the most expensive general consultation I have ever had. She charges by "issues discussed". Which is something I wish I had known before I answered the question "tell me about your health from a few years back" in detail. When my bill showed up I called them and asked them why my co-pay was that high, and they said "well you talked about a lot of health issues". Yes, she asked me to tell her about everything that had ever been wrong and I mentioned things. We didn't discuss anything. She looked at my throat and said "come back in 2 weeks if youre not better" and charged me an arm and a leg.
My first appointment with Dr. Khan was terrific. The professionalism displayed by the staff was great. The staff was polite, and courteous. Dr Khan was also very patient with me. She listened to me, and made me feel very comfortable. I'm very please with the outcome of my appointment.
Her staff made me feel comfortable, and didn't judge me for my fear of drawing blood! It was overall a great experience.
Felt kind of rushed.
Didn't love it. Wasn't very pleased with the greeting, wait time (45 minutes), blood drawing, and I didn't feel like she listened very well. On the plus side, she was very friendly and the location is good.
Left several messages for the doctor to call me and make an urgent appointment... I never got a call back within a week and had to go the ER just to get pain meds for a herniated disc in my back. The front desk reception is absolutely horrible and BC of the rudeness and unprofessional attitude, I would not recommend anyone to this facility!
Dr. Khan and her office staff are really great to have on my side. She's very caring and concerned about me (and all of her patients, I'm guessing!) and I really like that has residents work with her and her patients, too.
She is wonderful. Very thorough and caring.
Dr. Kahn was very professional and friendly. I felt very comfortable speaking with Dr. Kahn and she was very attentive. She listened to me patiently, answered all my questions and I never once felt rushed or dismissed. I will definitely continue to see her as my GP.
Very informative. Great bedside manner and a very good listener. Addressed a small issue efficiently and kindly enough that I will be changing to her as my primary care provider.
Simply the best
Dr. Khan is always very professional and spends time asking after my life in general, not just what brings me to her office. She uses that to get a picture of me as a person, not just a patient, and I think that leads her to making good suggestions for my health. She is by far and away the best doctor I've ever had in terms of great bedside manner and keeping up with me.
Shes always great and listens to what you have to say.
I like Dr. Khan. However there was quite a wait this morning to see her when I was the ONLY patient in the office. I go there 10 minutes early just in case, and good thing I did because they made me fill out the paperwork that I had already filled out on ZocDoc so I kind of wasted my time there. Then I waited some more time to see the dr. which i'm not even sure if she was in yet. She only spent a few minutes with me and decided I had an ear infection and just proscribed me antibiotics, I felt like it was a quick diagnosis. But she scheduled a follow up for next month for if things don't improve
Professional, thorough, and friendly. Will return.
Dr. Khan listens carefully and responds thoughtfully. Her medical expertise is always apparent. It's easy to book an appointment with her on ZocDoc and she seems to run mostly on time. I'm a fellow physician who just fired his internist for poor communication and difficulty obtaining a prompt and convenient appointment time. So far, Dr. Khan seems to be a perfect choice for me and I look forward to a long doctor-patient relationship with her.
I just felt a bit rushed, and for our first appointment she brought in a trainee which made me feel super uncomfortable, especially because it was the first time we had met. She very much treated me like an everyday "patient" rather than another human she had concerns for. She also tried to get me to cancel all my other doctors around the area to go to her, which just said to me that she wants my business and doesn't care about my trust. I just didn't have great vibes about her.
Dr. Khan is extremely caring and has gotten to know me so well. I am a real person to her and not just a chart. She is the best!
The nurse assistant
Dr. Khan is great. I highly recommend her. She's conveniently located downtown. Her office is clean and her staff is professional. She takes the time to get to know you and your background and she really seems to care. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
I love Dr. Khan. She is knowledgeable and doesn't keep you waiting forever.
Dr. Khan is the best doc EVER! She takes the time needed to listen to me and hear what I'm saying and EVERYTIME I come away with something, not always a prescription, that makes me feel better. The reception area gets me in on a few occasions when I had acute need, one time within a 30 mins of my call, but regardless are always polite and kind. If you need a new GP, Dr. Khan is one person I'd highly recommend!
Extremely friendly and personable, listened to all my concerns and not only gave me practice advice, but also gave me some medical treatment possibilities that could be an option in the problems persist and get more serious. I really appreciated her kind demeanor and professional manners!
She really seemed interested in finding a solution to my condition. I appreciate that.
Dr. Khan is extremely talented. She is the perfect doctor for women (I'm 33) because she can handle your female health needs (annual pap) in addition to general healthcare. She is assisting me with wellness, was able to refer me to a great podiatrist, and is very flexible in terms of scheduling. I highly recommend Dr. Khan as a primary care physician.
Dr. Khan is always positive, caring, and very thorough. Highly recommend her!
I overheard her staff riduculing patient. I would not recommend.
Dr. Khan was attentive and engaged. She referred me to a specialist after initial diagnostics proved inconclusive and she worked closely with a network of specialists as they tried to diagnose and treat my unusual condition. She is a caring and dedicated primary care doctor. Her staff is generally efficient and i'm usually seen fairly quickly.
All my past visits with Dr. Khan have been absolutely delightful. She, as well as her staff and nurses, are very personable and informative. They explain everything, answer all questions politely and nurture a comfortable environment. Her office is also very clean and well kept. Dr. Khan asks all the right questions and easily spots things related to health and well-being from speaking and looking at you. She also has great references for other doctors you may need to see (i.e. dermotologist). If you have any issues, just need an annual physical or just need a great internist for any reason, pay Dr. Khan a visit!
Good appointment. Only thing was when I checked in they had no record of my appointment. When I told them I scheduled with zocdoc they found the appointment request. In and out relatively quickly and had my issues taken care of!
I love Dr. Khan she's knowledgable, friendly and always listens to your concerns.
My visit was everything I could have asked for as a person who isn't fond of visiting the doctor. I was helped promptly by the nurse who worked the front and quickly taken back to have my vitals checked. I waited less than five minutes for the doctor to arrive to my room and she was very attentive and politely inquired about my issues listening to make sure she took the appropriate and most comfortable course of action. I don't have to search around because this is going to be my doctor of choice moving forward. Highly recommend!
I was 2 or 3 minutes late, but it must not have been too busy, and I was seen very promptly/
Always treated with a caring smile.
Dr. Khan is amazing, very caring, great bedside manner, and very professional. Highly recommend.
Dr. Khan is really friendly and very professional.
Dr. Khan was extremely professional and responsive to my questions. She made me feel at ease and as a result, I was able to fully express my symptoms and concerns. I was very pleased with my visit and would recommend her to anyone.
she's always been good to me. sometimes i dont know what i'm getting when i show up. a checkup, i guess? not her fault but i don't really know how to use a doctor which sucks bc i was an insurance counselor.
Excellent. On time, on subject, with good followup plan.
It was a pleasant experience. I am happy to have found a Dr. that I like.
So far, so good. I don't need quite so many reminders to show up, however!
I've been to this doctor several times and she is great. Really listens to your needs and does a through job.
I would definitely see Dr. Khan again.
First time at a doctor's office in years. Khan & her team maybe me feel really comfortable, very nice & professional. I was in & out of there. Took care of me right away.
Waited 45 minutes to see the doctor. Great bedside manner. Did not feel rushed. Thoroughly covered everything I wanted to.
Very good first impressions.
All the staff was very friendly and helpful and it was great talking with the doctor!
Always have wait at least 30 minutes before being seen. Sometimes longer than that.
Always very good, and professional. She is outstanding. Staff is reliable and courteous. Always been favorites of ours. We are building a relationship and are very comfortable with F. Khan and staff.
The best as usual!
She was wonderful, very sweet, and very efficient. She was great when I had embarrassing issues to talk about, and was thorough about going through all of the potential causes. I definitely recommend Dr. Khan! I was her first AM appointment, and was in and out of her office in less than an hour. Much appreciated since I had to go to work! Love that her hours allow for 7:30 a.m. or 6 p.m. appointments.
Always professional and compassionate.
I love Dr. Khan!
Very professional. Nice, clean, modern office. Great staff.
Long wait, but worth it!
I have seen Dr. Khan several times before and been impressed with her professionalism and knowledge - impressed enough that I was willing to deal with the long waits to see her. However, I do not think I will be going back to her office. I went to her with a very private problem - painful sex - and she shamed me for it, questioning how I could handle a pelvic exam/speculum and yet not handle sex. She gave me some great advice on how to deal with the stress that is likely causing the problem, but I was so humiliated and upset by her words that I can't imagine going back to see her again.
I found it a little counterproductive that I had to explain my situation to a nurse, then to an intern and then again to the doctor. All three were super pleasant, respectful and attentive, but I felt it made the appointment longer than necessary.
Very nice and personable, as always. Just went in for a pre-surgery screening, but she made sure that I had all my other usual prescriptions up to date outside of my annual appointment.
I was very pleased with every aspect of my visit. Everyone in the office was kind and informative.
Dr. Khan is a great physician. She was very receptive to all my concerns and was very helpful and easy to talk to. I had a great experience overall and would definitely recommend to others.
I don't think she listened to my issues. She made quick assumptions and gave unnecessary advice unrelated to why I visited.
She has a kind nature. You feel that she is interested in your well being.
I went for a annual physical and the Dr. spent around 5 minutes tops with me. I felt really rushed, maybe because I have Medicare. The staff was pleasant though. I won't be going back here
Very professional office. The next level in healthcare. Respected my time. Dr. Kahn was a good listener and wants to work with me to improve my health.
She did a great job explaining what was going on.
This was my first visit, but I was pleasantly surprised. This was my experience with the doctor: She Listens and doesn't belittle a patient's opinion. She took a proactive attitude concerning my potential health problems. She was willing to consider options besides medication.Although I presented my documents late, she completed them expiditiously. Very Encouraging attitude.
Dr. Khan was very caring and sympathetic to my health questions and concerns. She's a gem!
Very professional yet down to earth.
She was very sweet and personable. Double checked I need anything additionally checked out.
Dr. Khan is wonderful!
I always feel super comfortable with Dr. Khan.
she has a pleasant and positive approach and her demeanor with the patient is supportive. Half the illness is better just talking to her.
I like Dr. Khan quite a bit, but every time I go I have to wait such a long time. My appointment was at 9am. I was not even taken into a room until 9:20. I did not see Dr. Khan until after 10am. It doesn't seem like a very crowded place, so I never really understand why it takes so long to be seen.
I made an appointment for a first time visit and annual physical. Wait time was less that 30 minutes, not bad. Desk staff friendly. Dr. Khan did not ask any family history questions, and did not auscultate my lungs during the exam-something I think to be pretty standard for an annual. She was pleasant at bedside but seemed rushed. I will not be returning.
She is the best Doc I have ever been to. I am so glad that I found her.
Dr. Khan is very personable and takes extra care in her diagnosis and services. She's smart and I'm sure she'll be my doctor for a long time.
She is very nice and professional.
She is really thorough and friendly. I highly recommend her.
I always feel very comfortable talking to Dr. Khan and her staff. They are consistently kind, compassionate, and professional. I'm kind of a worrier and they always treat me with respect (even when I know I am being overly cautious).
It was a pretty routine visit, and the information I got wasn't too useful.
When I first started seeing her the experience was ok, but now it is such an ordeal. you have to be seen by a resident first and then explain everything to her a second time. And I just don't feel like she takes me seriously. I went un-diagnosed with Endometriosis for more than a year because she literally thought the pain I was experiencing was in my head and now every time I see her I get referred elsewhere very quickly. Just seems like she doesn't want to take the time to figure things out and pretty inconvenient to be referred to other doctors all the time. Wish she had more capabilities in her office and more willingness to listen and help
She was thorough, she took the time to understand my family and personal history, she laid out a game plan, she was kind and caring and made me feel like I mattered. She came recommended to me from two coworkers, and I definitely recommend her to others!
I enjoyed my visit. The doctor was highly knowledgeable and I like how there was a medical resident as well . The office staff was great and even emailed me my lab results at my request. The only thing i would improve on is when I first made the appointment I had to change it because the person who called me to confirm appointment had not given me instructions on fasting for 10-12 hours before coming in for physical. Other than that the actual visit was great.
Excellent physician, listened to all my concerns and prescribed me a medication that has relieved almost all of my symptoms. The only negative is that she told me "not to Google things" because I would get myself worried - it's 2012, everyone is going to do some research before they visit the doctor. That being said, I really appreciated her bedside manner and telling me directly what needs to be done to get healthy.
Excellent, I'll definitely go again.
She came in and got straight to business! I needed a referral and she connected me with some of the best medical doctors in the city. She was sweet and personable, I highly recommend visiting her office.
Dr. Khan is great. She listens to her patients and shows a lot of understanding. She is also beyond bright!
The nurse who gave me my flu shot gave me the best shot I have ever had and I get one every year. It was completely painless! Dr. Kahn was well put together and professional without being cold or intimidating. A resident Dr. from St. Joes saw me first which I thought was interesting, but it was nice beause I had a lot of time to think of all of the questions I had which she address and versed Dr. Kahn on before she came in. Everyone was knowledgable and pleasant and the entire process with lots of questions and attention lasted 1 hour.
I've seen Dr. Khan a couple times now to take care of various things from getting new prescriptions to getting stitches taken out. I like her - she really seems to know her stuff - but she does get through things very quickly and has at times, seemed a bit dismissive. Additionally, I always end up waiting a long time in the waiting room, and then even longer in a patient room. I usually don't see her until 30-40 minutes after my scheduled time. This is not fun, as it gets very cold in the office!
I am blessed to have found her. The best doctor I have ever had!
The only downside was how long I had to wait, but to be fair I did get there about 10 min after my schedule appointment time.
I think it's best to have a doctor before you get sick so I used this service to find someone close to my office for a check-up. Dr. Khan was professional and personable. I didn't feel rushed and she seemed genuinely interested in my overall health. I like her.
Very thorough. I didn't feel rushed. She and her resident answered all my questions. Overall a pleasant experience
She is awesome. Thoughtful and quick (but not TOO quick)
The wait is always long but she's a great doctor.
Awesome doctor! She seemed to listen and I felt comfortable being open with her!
Great.knowledgable helpful doctor
Very thorough, and very smart. She actually cared to ask all the right questions and made me feel at ease.
She actually listens.
Gave me attitude for refusing to be seen by a PA student. Had to wait almost 40min in the room before was seen not to mention the 15 min in the waiting area even though I was the only patient there at that time. Blew off my complaint and left the office with no answers.
By far the worst physician I have ever seen. I went in for a physical and she did not even listen to my heart and lungs or check the other things doctors do during a physical. They made me wait in the waiting room for almost an hour. All she did when she did come in was ask me is I had any questions and what medications I was on and leave. Her receptionists are rude and inconsiderate. I called recently about an injury and they refused to even talk to me about it and said that since I couldn't make it in because of the injury the doctor couldn't see me. Worst doctor I have ever seen. Stay away.
Loved Dr. Khan, along with the rest of the staff! Very friendly and comforting, unlike previous doctors I've seen. She took her time in addressing all my questions and concerns; where as other doctors have practically rushed through my visits. I will definitely be keeping her as my primary care doctor :)
It's great to find a doctor who really listens to you as an individual and doesn't prescribe pills if it's not needed. She's great at answering questions and making you feel comfortable.
She was very friendly and professional, I loved the fact that she explained everything to me and let me know what she was testing for and what it was that she was going to go ahead and do. She also made sure that she covered all the bases as far as making sure that everything with me was well.
very honest and very helpful. the whole staff was very courteous and thorough
Great first impression. Very professional and friendly bedside manner. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a wonderful new doctor.
I had to wait for over an hour. Then when she came in, spoke with me for a second, seemed dismissive of my concerns. She left, I had blood drawn. Nurse asked if I was to go back to the room and I said I hoped so because I wasn't finished speaking with the doctor. Nurse went and told her and the Dr. sent her back with a message. Again...very dismissive!
Dr. Khan was very too the point, but also very friendly and easy to talk to.
Patient with great bedside manner. I didn't feel rushed and I believe that she listened and heard every concern that I expressed.
I always wanted a doctor who did not leave me in the waiting room for hours and then leave me waiting in the patient's room. I always wanted a doctor who took their time to talk to me and get to know me and my history and not make a rush disgnosis. I have found that in Dr. Khan. She is professional, caring and simply a pleasure to talk to. Her staff is fabulous as well! I would never change doctors!
She was friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend.
Very professional, caring and knowledgeable.
Dr. Khan was very friendly and welcoming - she set follow up appointments for me and made sure I was getting important for my age/health checked.
Everything went well. She listened to what I had to say and made me feel comfortable about the tests she recommends. I will go back to her!
For a first time visit with Dr. Khan she had excellent "bedside" manners. She was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. She ordered tests for the problems I presented for the visit. She even recommended another doctor for my other specific complaint (podiatrist) to see regarding my foot discomfort. I would highly recommend her to other patients.
