Dr. Farnaz Gaminchi received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1990, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She then pursued her Doctor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, where she graduated with Honors and was among the top of her class.
She completed her internal medicine training at Beth Israel Hospital in New York City and her dermatology training at Loma Linda University Medical Center, where she served as chief resident during her final year. At Loma Linda, she taught undergraduate and graduate classes and participated in the medical center’s dermatology research programs.
Dr. Gaminchi established her practice in West Hills in March 2000 and is on staff at West Hills Hospital. She is Board Certified in dermatology and has extensive experience in skin cancer surgery, laser procedures, and cosmetic dermatology. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Medical Association, International Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgeons, and a fellow of the American Society of Mohs Surgery.
Dr. Farnaz Gaminchi has received Vitals.com awards, including the 2010 Patients’ Choice Award and recognition as a 2009 Compassionate Doctor.
She is a mother to two beautiful girls, Sofia and Soraya, and enjoys hiking, traveling, running on the beach, and reading.

I was referred to this office by Gentle Cure, which is a cancer radiation company and this office carries their equipment and performs the procedure. That was communicated when I booked the appointment, but when I arrived (after waiting nearly an hour to be seen) the doctor told me I was too young to receive treatment anyway. It was an hour drive, so I am a little irritated I made the trip for nothing.

This was my first visit to Dr. Gaminchi's office, it had been booked through Zocdoc, but not confirmed, so they weren't ready for me. However, they took pity on me and squeezed me in, examined me, sent a prescription to my pharmacy and made an appt to follow up. They were very gratious.

I have lots of choices for my dermatology requirements because of my very good insurance plans and my VA insurance. One visit to West Hills Dermatology Group and Dr. Gaminchi and you will see why you will never consider any other doctor or facility. Dr. Gaminchi treats you like you're her only patient. Keep in mind, because of the above you may experience a delay in the waiting area at times but so worth it. I live in Maine for a good part of the year. I set my appointments arround my trip back to California.

I met with Kerry and she was wonderful. She addressed all the issues I had and provided a full body skin check. All the receptionists were friendly and helpful and I got right in and out.

Good experience. Very professional staff and doctor, were friendly. One thing I noticed though was that doctor and physician’s assistant talked very fast so maybe slow down for some us senior citizens. I had to ask a couple of times what they were saying or repeat what they were saying which could have been because of the masks.

Dr Gaminchi was wonderful! So sweet, listened to all of my issues and her staff took the time to tell me all of my options. I had a mole I was a little worried about and she took it off right away!
