Dr. Farshid T Namin is a California-licensed acupuncturist and NCCAOM Diplomate of Oriental Medicine with a unique background in emergency medicine, integrative medicine, and academic education. He graduated as MD in 1996. Before moving to the United States, he worked for more than 10 years as an Emergency physician in Iran and also worked with United Nations agencies, the International Red Cross/Red Crescent, and international NGOs. After coming to the U.S., he earned his Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and has developed extensive experience combining traditional East Asian medicine with modern Western medicine and Licensed Acupuncturist since 2016. Dr. Farshid Namin has been a faculty member at Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine since 2018, where he has taught pharmacology, nutrition, anatomy and physiology, laboratory and radiology diagnosis, herb-drug interactions, and integrative medicine to master’s and doctoral students. He has also served as a Los Angeles VA Hospital supervisor and in clinical education roles.
