About Dr. Fiona Li
Dr. Fiona Li is a board-certified acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Additionally, she is a board-certified Chinese herbalist and holds a New York State professional license in massage therapy. Dr. Li graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine with a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and also earned a Master’s in Oriental Medicine from the same institution. She completed her undergraduate studies at City University of New York, Brooklyn College. Her practice focuses on both Eastern medicine as well as Western disease diagnosis and management.
Dr. Li has a tremendous passion for women’s health. Her clinical training included work with NYU Langone Hospital’s Initiative for Women with Disabilities – Manhattan, The Institute for Family Health–Chelsea, Housing Works’ Downtown Brooklyn Health Center, and The AIDS Center of Queens County (ACQC). Her overseas training included work in the acupuncture, traumatology, gynecology, and internal medicine departments at China Medical University in Taiwan. She has particular interests in pain management, women’s health, fertility, mood disorders, and stroke. Her mission is to build a compassionate and patient-centered, hand-in-hand relationship with patients, providing high-quality and supportive holistic health care through the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Movewell MD was such a good experience. The office manager was so kind and explained everything thoroughly. Fiona was one in a million! She was super helpful and took a copious amount of notes to see where my issues were. She explained everything to me and made sure I was not scared of needles. She also said I needed to start a regiment of coming 2x a week and overall I felt better after, more calm.

Unbelievable start to finish… never had a medical experience so good, ever!
Dr Li got right to the heart of the problem like she has telepathic powers. What she knows is scary good and the care before and after the needles is exceptional (from the free massage to the heat lamps and IR therapy at no extra charge). She can control your body like a puppet with the needles and unlocked it all!
I have to mention the A* team on the desk and back office too… I can’t believe this place is in NY and I hope they never succumb to the usual service we get here. Highly intelligent happy faces, pro active, and none of the mindless admin attitude you usually get. You can see this team love working together and holding the standards high. Front desk, care lead and nurse all top draw.
This place oozes the class and standard the doctor of this level deserves!
Can’t recommend highly enough! Get off the pain killers and go get some nerve dry needling to actually fix the issue.

Was really impressed with the upbeat behavior among the team at Dr Li's office. I was kindly introduced to everyone - whenever a nurse came in they introduced themselves, which just created a light and welcoming atmosphere.
Dr. Li was really kind - she spent a while asking me about my concerns and general lifestyle.
I thought I was only getting acupuncture, but also included in the appointment was cupping and a massage. It's not usual to talk about the "value" of your doctor's appointment, but I really do feel like I got good value in visiting Dr. Li.
I am looking forward now to regularly seeing her and the team as part of my treatment for insomnia.

Wow! Immediate pain relief! I went in to be treated for a pinched sciatic nerve, which was causing limited mobility and sleep disruption. Dr. Li used a combination of acupuncture and cupping along my back and legs—I left the office able to walk/move much more easily, and my pain overnight was so reduced I slept more than I have in weeks. Highly recommend!

Every single staff at the office were just so kind and it made it feel more at ease with what I was going to do to myself. It was my first acupuncture experience and the Dr. made me feel so comfortable. The needles were gently placed on my skin and I was a bit nervous honestly but after going through a few, the feeling immediately became a little less pronounced than the first few. I would definitely do this again. My muscles felt a bit more loosened but my headaches unfortunately still persists. I do understand completely that I would need more than one session to feel better. One little complaint that I do have is that they don’t accept United Healthcare and on Zocdoc it says that they do so I had to pay out of pocket. No big deal. I wish they can revise it though. So make sure to call the office before you book to see if they accept your insurance. Thank you Dr. Fiona Li and the staff!
