Getting to know Dr. Francine Park

I am a double-board certified psychiatrist, specializing in both Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and General Psychiatry. Based in Los Angeles, my training has taken me through some of the most respected institutions, including UCLA, USC, Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), and the Veterans Administration. These experiences have shaped my approach to care, blending the latest research with a deep, compassionate understanding of my patients' unique needs. I believe in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms, and I am committed to providing a safe, supportive environment for you to explore and address your mental health. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, or neurodivergence such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD, I'm here to walk with you every step of the way. My goal is to create a treatment plan that's tailored to you, with the hope of empowering you to not only overcome challenges but to thrive. It’s a privilege to be part of your mental health journey, and I look forward to helping you find the strength, healing, and balance you deserve.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session together, I’ll take time to get to know you and understand why you’re seeking help. I’ll ask about your current concerns, as well as your background—like your family life, social relationships, and anything else that might be affecting your well-being. I’ll also explore any other factors that could be impacting your mental health. By the end of the session, I’ll share my initial thoughts with you and discuss next steps. If medication might be helpful, I’ll explain the options and work with you to create a plan that feels right for you. My goal is to listen closely to your concerns and collaborate with you to design a treatment plan that meets your needs. While I don’t provide regular talk therapy, I do incorporate therapeutic practices into our sessions and will help you identify tools to use between appointments, so you feel empowered to take care of your mental health.

Dr. Park is a fantastic doctor. She has been helping my teen with treatment for ADHD, anxiety, and depression. She has a wonderfully calm and kind demeanor and communicates quickly. Excellent!
Dr. Park is a steady and consistent hand for our family. She is fast to respond to our requests for meds and to send in prescriptions, flexible whenever she is able to be, and most importantly, she really listens. She will also recommend therapists to work on issues that arise and meds are not always her first line of defense. She has also been open minded and taken the time to do research about Chinese medicine and supplements my child takes that were unknown to her to make sure there are no drug interactions. She coordinates with our child’s school which has stringent rules about med protocols and also with other doctors and therapists. We deeply appreciate her professionalism and nimbleness.
Dr. Park is very thoughtful and kind with her words. She is very knowledgeable with medications and how they work together. We appreciate all of Dr. Park’s help!
