About Dr. Francis Tobin

Dr. Tobin graduated from Loyola University – Stritch School of Medicine in 2001, and he completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 2005. He is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He is also a member of the American Society of Mohs Surgery. Dr. Tobin’s practice interests include skin cancer detection and skin cancer surgery, including Mohs Surgery. Dr. Tobin enjoys medical dermatology and all dermatological surgical procedures including, Cyst and Lipoma removals. His cosmetic interests include chemical peels, BOTOX, fillers such as Restylane and Juvéderm and laser therapy.

Mediocre care. Girl that showed me to the room just stood there. I have no idea what she was there for except to show me to the room. Doctor had zero personality. No connection, just going through the pace kind of like a routine eye exam. There are soooooo many doctors out there you’d like they would enjoy repeat business. Little guy just there for the fat paycheck.

We found the office easily using the navigation system on my iPhone. The office was a clean & modern facility with friendly & helpful front office staff. The receptionist/intake person made me feel welcome and helped me through the onboarding process which was moderately simple, using a tablet instead of paper forms. I was seen promptly and the appointment went well and didn’t feel rushed. I really like the doctor and medical assistant who conducted my exam and biopsy. They thoroughly explained the aftercare for the incision site and what to expect next based on the various possible outcomes of the biopsy. The doctor (Dr. Tobin) is young, and has a great bedside manner, and is not brash, arrogant or abrasive, like other dermatologists I have seen in the past. I would describe his manner as soft spoken, thoughtful, respectful and very professional. I have full confidence in this doctor & his support staff. I’d say, “This one’s a keeper” based on my initial appointment.

Dr (Frank) Tobin is a legend. He was really great and helped me address my concerns. I look forward to my follow up appointment! I do want to note for new patients that the address to the office is not compatible with Apple Maps. Apparently it only works in google maps. I didn't know this but I used apple maps and it sent me to the wrong location. I called the Dr's office and they immediately helped me find the correct location so it wasn't an issue. However, it apparently happens all of the time so make sure you don't use Apple maps. I highly recommend Dr Tobin and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.
