She is a Child and Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner licensed in DC, MD, and VA, with training and experience in treating patients with psychiatric disorders across the lifespan and various practice settings, from hospitals to outpatient clinics. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to treating clients with mental illnesses; that is why she is committed to providing individualized, personalized, and comprehensive care for her patients. Dr. Okwukogu earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Chatham University, her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland School of Nursing, and an Associate’s degree from Prince George’s Community College. She has vast experience supporting clients of all ages, backgrounds, and conditions. She is passionate about collaborating with clients on their treatment plans and offering compassionate care for all.

I was a little disappointed that I wasn't able to get the medicine that I know worked for me in the past, I have been through so many over the years, that didn't work or have made me very sick, that I really get nervous trying a new one.. however the doctor, herself was very kind and truly had a lovely demeanor.
I would still recommend her, if you are looking for a kind professional doctor.

She accidentally (I hope so but I’ve had psych docs do some crazy and weird stuff) ended the call in the middle of her sentence and then she ignored my messages and calls so after I spent 45 minutes inputting information into their terrible “portal” (which everyone has their own portal nowadays and it’s always cheap), I just couldn’t wait for her reply anymore and I’m just gonna rebook I guess and hope for the best? She seemed ok and I was hopeful but I’m not optimistic about doctors anyway so who knows. Will update after visit part ll lol
