Getting to know Frank Rodell
I’m Frank Rodell, an ANCC certified Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have been educated and trained as both a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and as a Mental Health Therapist. I received my Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of South Florida and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from George Williams College. I have years of experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings working with adults with a wide variety of mental health concerns. I strive to treat my patients with care and concern, using evidence-based treatment practices so they may resolve issues and return to a healthy lifestyle.
Initially, all patients receive a complete psychiatric evaluation. If medications are prescribed, they are done so in a thoughtful, effective manner. Follow up visits are then scheduled to monitor and assess the treatment effectiveness. Medication or treatment adjustments are made as needed. In addition to medication, issues related to your life circumstances can be addressed through brief psychotherapy.

The reason I was seeing the provider was because I needed a Behavioral Psych Eval which was required for approval for an upcoming back surgery. I explained at my apt that I needed the completed evaluation sent to my surgeons office as soon as possible. I saw Frank on a Friday and he said that he would have the Eval sent out by EOB the following Tuesday. That following Wednesday when it was not sent out yet I emailed Frank and was sent a release form to sign and return with a note saying that it would sent out that day. Unfortunately it was not sent out that day either. I emailed Frank several times over the next several days but never heard back. The following Monday after several more emails and several VMs to the office I finally got a text from the office manger asking what’s up. Several hours later (EOB Monday) I got a text simply stating that “it has been sent”. No explanation or apology for the delay. As a result of the delay my surgery had to be postponed 5 weeks.
