About Dr. Franklin Johnson Jr.

**Please note that we do NOT accept ANY FORM of Medicaid for new patients. ** Dr. Johnson is a Baton Rouge native who graduated from Woodlawn High School and LSU. He completed med school at LSU-New Orleans and is a member of AOA honor medical society. A specialist in surgical, cosmetic and general dermatology, Dr. Franklin R. Johnson Jr. has practiced in Baton Rouge since 1998. He and Dr. Thorla founded Louisiana Dermatology Associates with the goal of helping people look and feel their best. His extensive educational background includes a prestigious internship in internal medicine at the Earl K. Long Medical Center, as well as his Dermatology residency at the LSU School of Medicine at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. Dr. Johnson is certified through the American Board of Dermatology and is a dedicated member of national and state medical communities. He also enjoys hunting and fishing with his wife Rhonda and children at their camp in Mississippi.
