“I have seen a ridiculous number of doctors over the last three years, and I was almost ready to give up trying to find a good one. Gabriela is fantastic. I love that she actually digs into the 'why' instead of just looking at one symptom in isolation. She is super sharp. I’m so relieved to finally have a provider I actually trust with my health.”

Getting to know Gabriela Navarro

I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with nearly 10 years of nursing experience across medical, surgical, and psychiatric settings. Before becoming an advanced practice provider, I worked extensively at the bedside, where I developed a strong clinical foundation and a deep appreciation for patient-centered care. These experiences continue to inform my practice today; grounded in empathy, thoughtful assessment, and respect for each individual’s lived experience. I earned my Master’s degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from New York University, where I received advanced training in psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. In my current role as a nurse practitioner, I support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, adjustment-related concerns, career uncertainty, and complex family or social stressors. I am especially passionate about women's mental health including premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) and perinatal mental health.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our first session, we’ll focus on understanding what brings you in and what you’re hoping to work toward. I’ll ask about your current concerns, relevant history, and past treatment experiences so we can build a clear picture of your needs. This initial visit is collaborative and paced around your comfort. We’ll discuss potential next steps and create a plan that feels thoughtful, realistic, and aligned with your goals. My goal for the first session is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and clear about a plan moving forward.

I couldn't be happier with my experience. I was able to schedule an intake appointment with Gabriela the exact next day after my initial phone consult, which is basically unheard of! She is incredibly professional, very welcoming, and really made me feel comfortable right from the start. It is such a relief to find a great provider without having to wait months on a waitlist.
It is incredibly refreshing to meet a mental health provider who just keeps it real. Gabriela is super straight-up and isn't afraid to gently push back or debate my thought processes when I need to hear it. Even though she challenges me, I always feel completely supported, validated, and heard. She doesn't just smile and nod; she actively engages with me to help me grow. Highly recommend her if you want someone who is honest and truly cares.
This was my first time seeking help for medication management, and I was pretty nervous about the whole process. Gabriela made it so easy. She explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable with the plan. I'm just so happy to finally have someone knowledgeable helping me navigate this. Great experience!
Honestly, I've put off dealing with my mental health for years because I dreaded feeling judged. But seeing Gabriela was a breath of fresh air. She’s incredibly real and down-to-earth. We had a totally honest conversation about the burnout and everything else that I’ve been dealing with lately. She didn't lecture me; she just listened, explained my medication options in plain English, and gave me a straightforward plan to get my head back on straight. I actually left feeling hopeful and a lot lighter. Definitely keeping her as my go-to.
Juggling work and daily stress recently took a toll on my health, and I had been putting off seeing a doctor because I just didn't have the time. Gabriela was exactly the provider I needed. She is incredibly efficient and respects your time, but she never makes the appointment feel rushed. She listened to what was going on, asked great questions, and gave me a manageable, practical treatment plan that actually fits into my busy schedule. It is really hard to find a provider who balances professionalism with genuine empathy, but Gabriela absolutely nails it. Highly recommend!
This was my first time finding a doctor and managing my own healthcare since starting college, and I was honestly pretty anxious about it. Gabriela was so sweet and completely non-judgmental. She explained my health plan to me without talking down to me or using confusing medical jargon. The whole vibe is very welcoming, which made the whole process way less scary. Definitely keeping her as my regular provider!
Gabriela is exactly what you want in a healthcare provider. She is upbeat, efficient, and genuinely invested in your progress. Instead of just handing me a prescription and sending me on my way, we worked together on a plan. I actually left my appointment feeling motivated and positive about my health for once!
I had a great experience with Gabriela. She is incredibly sharp and actually caught a few things in my medical history that previous providers missed. She explains everything in plain English and makes sure you know exactly what your next steps are before the appointment ends. If you want a provider who is detail-oriented and straightforward, definitely book with her.
I have been struggling to find a provider who actually listens to me for years, but meeting Gabriela changed everything. From my very first appointment, she made me feel completely validated and took the time to explain every step of my treatment plan. She didn't just rush me out the door; she actually looked at my health as a big picture. For the first time in my healthcare journey, I feel like I have a true advocate who genuinely cares about my well-being. The office staff was also incredibly kind, and I was able to schedule in for the same week once I finished all the necessary documentation. I cannot recommend her enough!
Thank you for helping me through such a difficult time. This review is long overdue but I really wanted to share how much I appreciate the care and support I received! Gabriela truly listened to me when I needed it most, and I felt understood, supported and never judged. She was thoughtful, compassionate, and easy to talk to, which made a difficult process feel a lot less overwhelming. I’m very grateful for everything.
