Dr. Gary Luong is a New York licensed acupuncturist currently practicing at Chung Ying Physical Therapy & Acupuncture, located in the Financial District in NYC. He earned his Master’s in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. With extensive experience working with patients across the age spectrum, Dr. Luong brings valuable expertise to the practice.
He is skilled in orthopedic needling (myofascial needling or trigger point release) for pain management. Beyond musculoskeletal pain conditions, Dr. Luong’s specialties include digestive health, neurological conditions, sports injuries, post-operation rehabilitation, allergy, insomnia, depression, menopause syndrome, and weight management. He is also proficient in adjunctive therapies such as tui-na, cupping, press balls and needles, and electrostimulation of needles.
Dr. Luong is a dedicated acupuncturist who approaches his patients holistically. Gary knew how to treat my chronic tension headache & TMJ problem right away. I found relief from one session. I've been to many acupuncturists, Gary is incredibly knowledgable highly trained and very professional. Highly recommend and I'll be seeing him weekly!

Gary is wonderful: timely, courteous, professional, and an excellent acupuncturist and masseur. I saw him multiple times per week for both acupuncture and as part of PT treatments spanning roughly 6 months, and he was consistent and his treatments helped alleviate pain and repair muscle strength. I would 10/10 recommend.

Dr. Loung resolved my Swollen left leg in just four treatments! After the first treatment, I was able to feel the pain fade a bit, I was able to walk and there was a dramatic improvement in the muscles around my calf.
