Fantastic experience! I had been to two other opthalmologists, and Dr. Chandra by far made me feel the most at ease. He listened patiently to me as I described my problems, and he thoroughly explained his findings. Everyone at the office was also very polite and professional. I will definitely be coming back to him for future appointments!

Gaurav Chandra, MD is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in the medical management of ocular inflammatory and retinal disease, including the newest advances in injection and laser therapy for diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration, and the safe and efficacious use of immunomodulators.
Dr. Chandra earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University. After coordinating clinical trials for promising cancer treatments at Mount Sinai Hospital, Dr. Chandra completed his medical degree from Stony Brook University and his ophthalmology residency at Mount Sinai, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Chandra was then awarded and completed a fellowship in uveitis and ocular immunology at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Dr. Chandra is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and his research interests are reflected in his publications of peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and presentations at national conferences. Outside of work, he enjoys international travel, cooking, and tennis.

I was stressed about my eye condition and needed to see an opthamologist as soon as possible. Was so happy to find Dr. Chandra's office offered weekend hours and was able to schedule an appointment in two days on Zocdoc. The front desk was professional, Christian was friendly and personable. Dr. Chandra was knowledgeable and professional, explained my condition and answered all my questions. I was happy with my visit and will continue to go back for my follow up visits.

I waited for an hour to be seen. My right eye’s vision is partially blind days ago, but the doctor only suggested me take vitamins and come again two weeks later. The clinic was clean, staffs were friendly.
