Did not discuss my concerns at length or educate me in any way. Said that I needed a colonoscopy, which was my intention all along, but that my insurance wouldn't cover the cost of the anesthesiologist. To his credit, he did not push me to do it there, instead suggesting I get it somewhere else where it was covered. So the appointment ended up being a waste of time. It would've been nice if the office had called me in advance to tell me my insurance would not fully cover a colonoscopy there.
In addition to this, he spent around 70% of the appointment time talking about insurance companies, and while a lot of what he said might be true, it started to take on a tinge of conspiracy. In any case, it was not an appropriate venue for him to air his views, I would've preferred that time be taken to further discuss my issues and concerns. Because of this, I left the appointment feeling like I wouldn't trust him.

It was my first time going to a gastroenterologist since my father’s passing due to colon cancer. I figured since it runs in the family I wanted to get an early start on things, and Dr H made it so easy. He’s compassionate and easy to talk to, I have an endoscopy and colonoscopy scheduled with him, and I feel I’m in great hands! Glad I found him on here

I visited last week for a consultation and just had an upper endoscopy at Dr. H’s clinic this morning. Everyone working in the office from the medical receptionists to the anesthesiologist and nurse to the doctor himself is completely wonderful. I couldn’t have asked for better care. The anesthesiologist kept me calm the whole time and used a very tiny needle for the IV and before I knew it, the whole thing was done! I’m so glad I found this place. Simply wonderful!
