About Dr. George Sopko

Our practice is focused on protecting the health of our patients, visitors, staff, and community; it is our utmost priority.
Dr. Sopko joined the practice in 1989. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and holds a post-graduate degree in Public Health from the University of Minnesota. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center and District of Columbia General Hospital. During his fellowship training, his major clinical interest was cardiovascular risk modification, with a specific focus on lipid/cholesterol metabolism and the hypertensive effects of exercise and diet interactions. Dr. Sopko is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

I have never had such a thorough physical examination: I spent 1.5 hours talking to the doctor vs 20 minutes it normally takes! Dr Sopko is attentive and knowledgeable. I really appreciate his patience and his willingness to listen and learn all the nuances. Great doctor!

Dr. Sopko was marvelous. I had to wait ~45 minutes to see him, but it was worth it. He was an excellent listener, asked me lots of questions, and really wanted to get to know my health situation.
