After completing her training, Dr. Brito worked at the Miami Veterans Affairs Hospital and then the Orlando Veterans Affairs Hospital in the primary care mental health integrated model. Dr. Brito also holds certification in Perinatal Mental Health. Dr. Brito's practice focuses on medication management and supportive psychotherapy in typically 30-min follow up visits. At times additional psychotherapy is needed and a therapist may be added to provide the best outcome.

What is your typical process for working with clients?
We start with a comprehensive first visit, where you and your provider will discuss your goals, medical history, and what brings you to treatment. From there, you’ll work with your provider to create a care plan that feels right for you, which may include medication, therapy, or both. If your provider recommends medication, they’ll walk you through your options—our goal is always to help you make informed choices about your care. You’ll meet with your provider regularly for follow-up visits to check in, adjust your care as needed, and make sure you feel supported in your journey.

Because we accept insurance, we can reduce out-of-pocket expenses and still offer high-quality care. You may not have any cost related to your visit with us, depending upon your insurance plan. Most patients pay a small copay per visit, subject to any deductible or coinsurance that your health plan has. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services determines appropriate billing guidelines. These guidelines depend on the length of the visit and the complexity and severity of your diagnosis. For this reason, we need to wait until after the visit for the final determination. We then submit the claim to your insurance company. The charges are calculated based upon pre-negotiated prices with your insurance company. Your insurance company will then determine what amount, if any, is your responsibility per your insurance plan.

Giselle is a completed professional and really showed me that she cared about my well being. She took the time to learn more about me during our session and to recommend treatments going forward. Her and talkiatry customer service have worked with me to try to get my prescription filled, despite the shortages. And although I do not feel great, considering stopping my medication has caused problems at work and extreme tiredness, I appreciate the help provided to me by Giselle and the talkiatry team. I feel seen and valued by Giselle and the talkiatry team. I wish Giselle was available for individual talks, along with psychiatry. She’s amazing! Totally recommend.
