Dr. Gregorio Ruelas is a native of Ventura. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in physiology from the University of California, Davis. Dr. Ruelas has a passion for teaching, and while attending medical school, he volunteered as an after-school mentor and science teacher for children at Stevenson Middle School in East Los Angeles. He received his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California in 2004, followed by his Family Medicine residency training at Ventura County Medical Center, which he completed in 2007. Dr. Ruelas is board-certified in Family Medicine. After completing his residency, he worked at a satellite clinic of Ventura County Medical Center in Fillmore, where he staffed the urgent care and provided primary care services. During this time, he continued his passion for teaching, serving as attending and teaching staff at the Family Care Center in Ventura. Dr. Ruelas joined Primary Medical Group in January 2011 and is committed to providing excellent care to the people of Ventura County. He is well known for his attentiveness, bedside manner, problem-solving skills, medical knowledge, and compassion. Dr. Ruelas offers a wide range of services, including pediatrics, adult medicine, women’s health services, and geriatric care.
