About Dr. Haisheng Zhang
Dr. Haicent Zhang received his Medical Doctor degree from Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2012. He completed his postdoctoral training at the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine Science from 2013 to 2016, earning a Postdoctoral Certificate. Dr. Zhang graduated from the Master’s program in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Five Branches University and completed the MTCM program there as well. He plans to apply for the Acupuncturist License in California this year.
For nearly 30 years, Dr. Zhang has studied Traditional Chinese Medicine and Medical Qigong under Dr. YangJun, the sixth-generation lineage holder in TCM. He has been teaching Medical Qigong, TCM health, and Meditation for more than 30 years. He also holds a PhD in Integral and Transpersonal Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies.
Since April 2020, Dr. Zhang has served as the Dean of the Integrative Health and Medicine College at the University of East-West Medicine (UEWM). He is an expert in Medical Qigong, Taiji, Acupuncture, Tuina, and Mind-Body Medicine for clinical treatment. In February 2016, he was appointed Visiting Researcher at the Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine Exchange and Cooperation across the Straits at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.
Dr. Zhang has published 33 papers in peer-reviewed journals, with 49 citations, and has served as a referee 53 times for seven Chinese Medicine Science and Buddha Cultural and Medicine journals. He conducted research on Medical Qigong, Taiji, and Mindfulness Meditation at the Molecular Cardiology Research Institute (MCRI) of Tufts Medical Center and Harvard McLean Hospital for nearly two years.
His clinical specialties include chronic pain management, infertility, diabetes, allergies, asthma, back pain, depression, headaches, insomnia, stress, irregular menstrual cycles, frequent urination, prostate problems, and sexual dysfunction.

Dr Zhang is great! I had a car accident in April and he took a deep check on me and continual treatment to help me recover not only physically but also mentally. He is patient and experienced and the acupuncture is gentle and effective. Very recommend!

Dr. Haisheng Zhang is great! He has been very attentive and made sure to understand my concerns, and recommended specific treatment. It was my first time trying acupuncture, and Dr. Zhang made sure I was comfortable and understood how it worked. He clearly explained why I felt pain in certain areas, and how we can treat that pain holistically. After a few treatments, I began feeling much better! Thank you!

I just had car accident crack last year , I was dizzy and headache everyday, and made me lose balance very easy to falling down. I found Dr .Haisheng Zhang on line , after between 3-4 months treatment, I feel more better and better. It’s very lucky, thanks to him.
